Yeah, if it goes through I'll have made more in those 3 minutes than I have all morning. I bet it never comes. :/

The same crazy Mom group that is petitioning to ban the Muppets is now going after The Good Dinosaur movie because of the content. Didn't these idiots watch The Land Before Time when they were a kid? It's not like this is the first tear jerker dinosaur movie to be focused on death. 80's kids seemed to survive it.
Wait wait splain Luceh. Ban the Muppets? Ban The Good Dinosaur? Are these Common Sense Media nuts or what? Edit: Speaking of that, I remember parents throwing a shit fit because penguins flirted in Happy Feet, or some shit.
Yeah, all of these parents though the new Muppets show on ABC was going to be for kids even though the Muppets were first geared towards adult themes to begin with. These same parents took their kids to see the Dinosaur and claims it traumatized their kids.
OMFG. Okay yeah firstly those Muppets movies were never for kids LOL. They wouldn't even get half the references made in the films. I'd assume the show would follow the same route. The Good Dinosaur is traumatizing? Well, I guess their kids never saw any Disney film ever. Or you know - any other movie.
I've done about 40 for CMU RE Lab. most were approving within minutes, but now i've got a log of about 20 pending and given the TO and task type i'm waiting until they go through to keep going forward with them. was doing .12 ever 30 ish seconds
Whenever I think of Bambi, I can hear him calling for his mom in my head. I am also old enough to have seen Old Yeller. Part of the reason that everything is so screwed up is because we shield our children from reality. This sounds like the same people who have a fit about their children being taught about Muslims in school. If they pulled the curriculum they would see their kids are being taught all religions and if they had a brain in their head they would understand that knowledge is power. If I were terrified of something or someone, I would want to know everything I could about them, including what they think and why. /rant. In related news, I didn't want that one to be sad, lol. The kid looks so much like I son that I have had SEVEN different people call me and ask if I had seen the trailer because if you could make my kid a cartoon, it would be him. ETA: I'm not terrified of Muslims anymore than Westboro Baptist makes me terrified of Christians. Don't need a hate rain today.
Just curious, What's everyone's opinion on these. Morning everyone! I am not supposed to be working today. I said I was gonna be tackling some big house chores. Shh. I had to jump on that 3.00 survey though!!! Monies. I can't say no.
That reminds me a bit of my high school when my English teacher wanted to create a few new classes centered on multicultural literature. She managed to get 1 passed and parents threw an absolute tantrum. For those of us in the class, we had a BALL. We read Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, Amy Tan, etc. Such a brilliant teacher and the books we read were fabulous. Sad, poignant, but fabulous. But that didn't stop the parents from damn near rioting lol. She couldn't get a second class through the admin - they told her flat out no. Too much controversy. Holy shit dude. We were all were really sad about it when she gave us the news that there'd be no Lit 2. As for movies and all, I guess it's pretty much the same. Helicopter parenting kind of ruins the whole experience I think. Like in film/literature/art/etc., not everything in life is roses - kids should probably learn that.
Now the world is going to stop because Kim K. just gave birth. I refreshed my facebook and it's the first 20 stories now.
