Just because you spent thanksgiving alone doesn't make you a loser. I don't think you are. It's just the way it is for some people. You found things to do to entertain yourself. I've spent Christmas alone and I don't think of myself a loser. I just accept it as an advantage not to deal with people and commercialized holidays.
Oh Amazon, why u do dis? I said I wasn't going to pay attention to your wicked sales and evil ways. *weeps as she adds herself to multiple waitlists*
I spend most of my holidays alone, because my family is both too far and too crazy (literally...) to socialize with. Sometimes it's cool to just get a bunch of friends together for thanksgiving instead. Mostly though I just hide out on Thanksgiving/xmas for a few days. It probably makes me sound like a hermit but I'd rather be safe inside than deal with whatever insanity is going on right now "outside."
Happy Post turkey day! Oh man, still in a carb coma.. I hope some great jobs pop up today! Sergey, I need you

I spent the day alone. Two of my sons went to their dad's half way across the state, two of them live too far away and usually have too many complications juggling baby mamas for us to get together, and the fifth son and his fiance wanted to spend the day alone together in their cozy little house with their three spoiled cats. So, I fixed myself a pot of homemade potato/cheese soup and some homemade bread for my dinner and just hung out here. And that was fine because I really am a proud hermit. My three youngest sons, a daughter-in-law, and a soon-to-be-daughter-in-law, and I are getting together tomorrow for a casual post-Thanksgiving. Since this is my first Thanksgiving as a veggie, my kids decided that vegetarian pizza would be better than turkey and all the fixings. I told them that was no big deal - I would just eat the meatless sides and that I could bring a vegetarian lasagna or enchiladas or something, but apparently, pizza it is. lol For those who don't like being alone on Thanksgiving (or other holidays), you could do something that I did when my kids were very little and I was spending my first Thanksgiving alone - volunteer at a shelter preparing and serving the meal. One of the best experiences of my life and something that I had always intended to continue with but didn't. Two years after that first time (the kids were with their dad every other year), I tried to but I waited too long to call and they had all the volunteers they could accommodate. Same thing the next year (I had the kids that year and wanted to do it with them), and then I just kind of spaced it after that. But it is a great experience - but unless things have changed, you do need to call early enough before the holiday before they have all the volunteers they need.
That's very nice of you, but I just consider myself a loser and whatever other negative label there is out there because it's easier. At least I know my place when it comes to comparing myself to anyone else I talk to. I wish there were better internet packages/services around here. An hour to download a gig in 2014 is a disgrace. F'ing at&t.
So this is my first year turking.. How is it normally around holidays? Are there predicted times when good requesters post ( Sergey, ML, Adultnethits, Jack Stone, etc).. or is it all pretty random.. seems over the past few days the AdultnetHits posted at normal time and SET Master Account.
Just redeemed for 62.00 in Amazon from Perk (12.00 from my daughter's phone lol) That will take care of my little guys big Lego Minecraft gift and someone else's something or other. I am going to be losing my main perk'ing device after the holidays... the ex requested the back up iPad (my 14 year old son communicates via iPad because he's nonverbal) and it's not worth fighting about so I'm sending it along to him after the holidays. I'm at least going to use december to get perk points for gifts and he can wait. But I need something else to use. Any idea on what I should get? No idea what is worth it these days. I don't see too many talking about Perk anymore on here.
