woah i'm wayyy late but welcome! if you have any concerns hit up one of the mods, we have purple names.
At the end? I assumed response ID was the code since it started with an R_ Or do you mean somewhere else? It was just soooo strange. Do one survey. Do this. Then do another survey that's basically the same as the first. I think she was confused. lol
hey guys so I am in the process of adding my bank account to my amazon payments to be able to transfer money to it and its asking me for stuff that's making me increasingly uncomfortable. At first they wanted my individual bank account number and routing number so I was like ok ok...then they wanted my drivers license number and my social and I was a bit on the fence....now they are requiring my ONLINE BANK ACCOUNT PASSWORD in order to verify that it is mine. I'm like jesus...did everyone else have to do this as well? Am I being paranoid or do I have a right to feel vulnerable giving out this much information? I get that its amazon and it should be safe but I don't understand why they NEED to know my password. There is another option to verify where it makes two small deposits but that takes 5-7 days and I really just wanted to do this now, any advice would be helpful thanks!
Oh. I wasn't going to do the 2nd survey because I thought it was a duplicate. Good thing you said it and I went ahead and did it and got the code at the end.
I think the 80 cent one had a pretest and posttest with the activity between, and that's why it looked the same. The setup was definitely not great though.
All that is standard except them asking for your online bank account password! I've never heard of that one. I'd be wary of that. Do the 2 small deposits. That's more safer.
Me neither!!! Don't give them your account password. That doesn't even make sense and no one should ever ask you for that. I did the two deposits as well.
My small credit union and my large big bank account has asked for my passwords to my other accounts in order to verify them and link them together. Amazon did it as well to me about a week ago when I went to add in a new account so I can transfer, it's kind of standard now I guess. It's happened three times with three different banks, etc. I'm not worried. Edit: If you can log into your account with your username and password, they see it as a way to access your account and prove its yours rather than putting the deposits in. It's another way to verify that you can use the account you want to verify/add.

Wow that's new to me. I wouldn't do it for my own peace of mind. I suppose you could change the password once that's done but still that's weird.
ok thank you everyone appreciate your responses, I just hope they dont ask for my soul after I click accept on the next page
