The police are supposed to protect everyone, no matter if they are white, black, asian, female, poor, gay/lesbian or transgender, etc.
Peta people are protesting at the Bernie Sanders rally in Oakland right now. The messed up part is Bernie is the only candidate with an animal rights page on his website. I think they got lost or something.
Yet you're over forty times more likely to be killed by the police if you're black than if you're white. So clearly they don't.
Ummm... Because they are. ETA: Am I missing the sarcasm or something?? Because I am seriously impaired that way.
People wouldn't be about to start a race war on the turk if we had work to do. can you even see this? you're always blocking people when you're here. lol
It's time to cut this off here. This forum isn't the best place for this conversation. Did anyone see the movie, Angry Birds? My son saw it in 3D and said it was good.
I did not see the Angry Birds movie. But I still have 10 not so happy birds in my bathroom. If my in-laws didn't like the condition of it before... If they show up unannounced before the flooding goes down, maybe I will let them go in there and not warn them. Then maybe they won't come back.
It did rain briefly for about 10 minutes, that's about it. The tropical storm isn't affecting my area. Sorry to hear that you're having flooding. Poor birds. At least they're safe and hope they get to go out soon.
I see a good copy online so will download and watch next time I have my son over, Thanks 4 the heads up . . .
My sons went to the beach this morning before sunrise hoping to catch it but it was cloudy. This is the picture he took. See how calm the waves are. Funny how calm the ocean is with the tropical storm out there.
It wasn't really very bad here until about 30 minutes before I posted the pick of them in the bathroom. Then we got hit really hard, but only for about an hour and a half. And by hard, I mean that I was watching the water rise in the yard! The town said they didn't fix the clogged ditches after the flood in Oct because they thought it was a once in a lifetime flood. I'm just grateful that I remembered to check them and got them in safely. They were stressed enough by moving here yesterday. But we are all lucky. The people three streets over were evacuated and most are elderly.
