I'm pretty sure I just lost out on two hits because rather than submitting, it just sent me back to the dashboard. Then, when I went to continue working it said I had already worked the HIT and couldn't do it. I seriously hate everything about the new site. It's like everything just decided to go against what I want lately. Obviously mTurk. Net Neutrality and the FCC before that. And just yesterday my bosses for my actual job decided to screw everyone over by making us work every other weekend until further notice. This has been a frustrating couple of weeks...
After spending way too much time grumbling about not being able to return hits from your queue page, I finally figured it out. Where it says work on the right side of each hit, you click just to the right of that and a box pops down with the description and a link to return the hit. Because having it all neatly next to each other on one page like the old site was just crazy sauce. Why did they add more clicks to see stuff that used to just be displayed on the page? Do their fake focus groups like doing extra work?
OMG OMG OMG!! I know I do not share a lot of personal info here but I am bursting and everyone is gone right now so you get to hear my news. My daughter is a chef and she just got contacted to be on the Food Network, Guy's Grocery Games. I am so excited. She is a badass chef.
You can click on the requester name or HIT title or the "show details" to get the Return buttons visible. My problem with it is when I HIT return it doesn't take me back to the queue, it then loads up a queue HIT for me to work on. Which is damned inconvenient if you want to return more.
My biggest issue, truly, is the habitual clicks/muscle memory. Retraining my brain has been the most difficult. This forum is a gift.

I think the new server is sucking my brains out. Damn this seemed confusing at first. No mental energy left for the actual HITs or something.
I couldn't figure out how to advance to the next image and accidentally submitted the thing. Joy. Emailed requester offering to do another hit for free. I don't need another rejection.
Why is there no search box on the hit pages or the queue page? I don't want to click around just so I can type something to search for. Again, it is adding extra steps that are not needed.
Nothing says progress like making things more unnecessarily complex and adding unneeded steps to things. Inefficiency Rules!!!
They got it right the first time around. Who said it needed fixing? I'm baffled where they got all this ideas. They certainly didn't get any input from long-time turkers.
I know it is in part a sign of the times, but it has always amazed me there are no options for mturk. Hell, this forum has pages of settings. Mechanical turk? Not one. I want to see pages of check boxes, item by item what is shown on what screen, what happens after certain actions, etc. so I can get it exactly the way I want it. But we are left trying to salvage something usable with scripts.

I don't feel like my TM is working, after updating to the new page version. No new surveys are showing... any ideas?
I'm so lost. Just found 3 pinterest HITs in my queue. I disabled TM it was so non-functional. PC isn't running. I certainly clicked nothing on turkmaster, I was doing a survey. Not a clue where they came from. Oddly, it let me do 2 of the 3. I don't think Pinterest has ever let me do more than 1 before, no matter what I do or how fast I go. Just lost. Let me see what other magic HITs are in my queue.
What if its a new feature that allows requesters to assign you hits? lol I would be okay with that if they didn't have a timer or had at least 12-24 hour timer
Dammit, it has to be Panda Crazy. I just had another random HIT in my queue that has a panda on PC. But PC is not running as far as I can tell. None of this is in the list of accepted HITs on panda crazy -- it says the last thing it accepted was 3 hours ago. And dammit it ISN'T RUNNING. This is making me so much more confident I know wtf I am doing. Wondering how many requesters I've been pissing off accepting and expiring and clueless.
Hmm. Well at least part of the problem is PC is suddenly accepting hits without being aware it has caught one. Think it is reboot time. Hopefully not uninstall and reinstall time.
