Dear David Mease...... I give up on trying to figure out how to find the power button and do a screen capture on phone. argh and double argh
The power button is how you turn on your phone. It's the clicky thing on the top or side of the phone by itself. I'd continue trying to if I were you. I just finished my 20 after watching Da Vinci's Demons (first 8) then watching Hannible (last 12).
I have an older android phone that doesn't have a built in screenshot function. I downloaded an app called 'aScreenshot' from the google play store, and you can set it to take a screenshot when you shake your phone. I was able to complete all 20 of the Mease HITs with that app. The app puts the screenshots in your gallery, from there you can email them to yourself. edit: just to be clear, I didn't email the screenshot to myself every time, I used my USB cord to transfer the screenshots from my phone to my desktop, but everytime i did that, i had to restart the 'aScreenshot' app for the next hit. Do whatever is quicker for you.
Don't judge me. It is a Samsung galaxy running android 4.0.4 (I did figure out that much) The videos on youtube all show the power button on the top, but this one is on the side and all I could see to do a screenshot was push the volume down button and power button at same time. All that did for me, was turn off the phone. It is my hubby's phone (I'm sure he thinks I"m in here searching through his messages and contacts because I'm clicking then cussing and huffin) because I don't have a smartphone. My phone is still stupid.... just like I feel now.
I feel your pain - I don't know what's worse having a dumb phone or having a smarter than me phone LOL. I've figured out of course that I would need to be rooted to configure the camera ashootit (whatever or the other apps) but I tried the you don't need to root method and I am so lost.. So I'm done for today. I will put it on my list of things to learn for future reference
We can sink in the 'old school' phone boat together then. I'd rather not go down all by myself. Now, I think I'll put my husband OUT of his misery and take him his phone back.
