Me too. I can never get fresh or frozen green beans to have the right consistency and taste as the canned. The fresh ones are good wrapped in bacon and fried for appetizers....but that sorta defeats the purpose of eating fresh green beans lol

thanks whoever brought up Prolific Academic a few months ago just cashed out my 50th GBP. out of the demographic for many of the studies but not bad for checking a few times a day and thanks to anyone reminding here when a study is up. here's another one, most of the time I don't qualify seems like less studies available too haven't done enough to try and cashout yet. some MTurk requesters run studies there so you may have seen this already the point return is pretty low, you aren't going to get rich. 300 points for $5 amazon giftcard. https://www.socialsci.com/ Doh, just reading my inbox there, they are closing down... nevermind
If anyone hasn't signed up for Prolific Academic and want to, you can PM me for a referral link if you're feeling kind
what do you get for referring people? I like PA alot...just wish there was like 10X more studies. Only made about £16 so far
I think it's like a 1/10th of their first withdrawal? Usually like .10 GBP. Better than nothing. I miss a lot of the surveys. They do go pretty quickly. One of the positives for Prolific Academic, in my opinion, is that often times you will get an opportunity if you are working the overnight shift in the continental US. Since they are based in Europe a lot of the Universities are midday while we are middle of the night here.

Actually, while we're talking about referrals, does anyone use an online checking account that works well with Mturk? I use Capital One 360 (which was ING before it was acquired) but I'm trying to set up another account for paying off debts. I like to keep my money separate so I don't get tempted to spend it. I'll take any recommendations and/or referrals.
I should ask Tj to update his posting guide with a section about referral links. I know it's fine to have them in your sig but I'm not sure what exactly crosses the line.
Sadly, even though my mother is Japanese, I grew up on the packaged stuff. I've had ramen in restaurants a few times though and it is good!
