I'm World of Wowcrack addict. Final Fantasy is just not fast enough for me. If FF played like WoW or if WoW looked nearly as good and was half as innovative... There would never need to be another MMO.
I haven't tried that one! I'm kind of hooked on ESO these days. I couldn't resist that $25 sale and now I'm hating myself because it's so fun. EQ2 used to be so amazing. Did you try the new time-locked progression server? I got a monthly membership for a few months to try it out. Was really fun. Nice seeing people around in the lowbie zones and stuff. But old 2004 EQ2 was hilarious. Getting yelled at over heals was only the half of it. You weren't a shady Shadowknight tank who would panic-run when you were an inch from death and leave your party to die deep in Fallen Gate. All while training an entire dungeon full of mobs behind you to the entrance where they'd slay all the LFG people standing by the door. Not that I'd *ever* do that of course. *cough cough*
I'm a bit late here, but I believe No Man's Sky is no longer a timed exclusive for PS4 and will be releasing on both simultaneously.
I haven't played it in about 2 years but omg you mentioning FG brings back so many memories. That was a dungeon in the common lands right? Or whatever it was called. And the wailing caverns (again, whatever it was called). It's amazing how zones like that were the toughest of the tough years ago and now you can just buy the AoD xpac and blast through it with a beastlord and your fancy pet/merc. The last time I played was when someone found an exploit in dungeon maker and almost everyone was power leveling themselves to level 90/280aa. I'm glad they didn't do a server rollback when they patched the dungeon maker glitch or I would have been hurting lol
I can't wait to crush that one, but they have made them easier and easier each release. Remember how hard Demon Souls use to be in comparison?
I was a fan... it took a bit too much of my life. I loved crafting. Too much. GSM all day. I miss my PLD.
I shouldn't be. I haven't played 1 yet. But I am! LOL yeeees. Commonlands dungeon was Fallen Gate. That's level um...17+ I think? And for the lowbies, it was Wailing Caverns. The Antonica version was Stormhold and they had Blackburrow for lowbies. Stormhold felt like it was twice as difficult! I don't think I've ever had a successful run through there. That's a crazy exploit, LOL. You're lucky you didn't get your ass banned. Omg remember those random elite mobs that would just show up in zones all unexpectedly and shit? I can't remember how many times I got clocked by Gustfeather.
Well they are for sure changing the mechanics, I feel for the positive. They for sure made it more accessible, in beta it did feel like a cross between demon souls and ds1 which is a good balance. Demon souls was its own unique beast. I stopped around The Binding Coil when I realized I was raiding again. First time I played a bard or support class(dps/support), I usually always rolled tank. I didn't get into as much as FFXI tho, that mmo was a literal job.

Whenever I think of EQ, antonica is the first thing to come to mind. Blackburrow was the shit! Even though I went in there way before I should have and got my ass kicked by the gnolls lol. My memory of old eq2 is blurred because I was just a little shit when that game came out. Stormhold was.. Ew god. That part of old eq2 I do remember. Staying up until 4 am trying to clear it with a bunch of non English speaking people is probably one of my most memorable moments. Flying around on the griffins in antonica gives me the feels
FFXI was one of the hardest MMOs I've ever played, legit punished you for any tiny mistakes. Also needed a group to actually get any kind of good leveling done because the content was so hard even for leveling.(In its early life anyways)
