Regardless the reason for attacking him, it wasn't right. Anyone that didn't like his transcription job should have either ignored his post or scrolled on. I don't know, I think it was a pretty tame discussion (with lots of actual information) about transcription pay rates and that .50c/audio minute is half a decent rate. I suppose any talk of the poor pay rate is a reflection of the poor management of his site. Months or years with TOTM payment issues. I understand he was not obligated in any way to pay for that but if you're going to run something or support something being run, run it I guess? Talking about introducing some new community gimmick to replace TOTM and a year? later, nada. Nobody cares but if you publicly announce something is happening and nothing happens it looks negligent to me. I don't know if the database issues with the forum not working were because a bill wasn't paid or if those were technical outages of some sort. It was only a few hours or parts of a day once per month or every few months, but. That was back when traffic was higher. He posted transcription jobs for around half a year and publicly asked and talked about the pay rate and got legitimate feedback, so I doubt his feelings were hurt. Probably just found someone to do the work on the regular. If I had to guess between not giving a shit about the forum and not being comfortable visiting here, I'd bet on the former.
